Love Your Light Book Donation Program:
Thanks to the participation and support of a lot of amazing people, we donated 266 copies of Love Your Light to children in need in 2014! We are so grateful to every person who participated in our book drive!
The books went to:
Autism Speaks - A national organization that provides resources, education, and raises awareness for people and families on the Autism spectrum. They gave 50 copies away to local families in Cleveland, and provided 50 to families in need across the country. Autism Speaks also honored us by listing Love Your Light as a resource book on their website!
Pacer.org's National Bullying Prevention Center - They work tirelessly to stop bullying, and they also have special programs for children with disabilities. They provide resources to help bullying survivors, and to teach bystanders how to stop bullying when they see it happening. They passed out 50 books at their rallies.
Jay Plastics in Mansfield, Ohio, donated 50 books to our campaign! Per their request, those copies went to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, an award-winning organization that specializes in treating cancer in children and caring for their families.
The Pajama Program - They received 25 of our books and donated them, along a new set of pajamas, to children in foster care - some of whom don't even know what pajamas are and never had anyone read a bedtime story to them.
Nationwide Children's Hospital's Reach out and Read program - We are honored that their doctors prescribed copies of Love Your Light to 25 children reading issues.
Finally, the MBIE Armory Project donated 20 copies to a local inner city elementary school.
